This was just brought to my attention the other day by Astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson. He mentioned that the quote from the movie contact has a huge arithmetic error. I did the math, and it’s true… The writers are morons.

There are 400 billion stars out there in our galaxy alone. Now if only one out of a million of those stars had planets. Alright? And if just one out of a million of those had life.
